Wow! What a great Happy Hour at Tin Can Bay where we were joined by 50
cheery travellers. This was our biggest happy hour yet and everyone
was in good spirits, with our lucky prize winners taking away some
great Dometic gifts, including a BBQ set, a picnic set and a Hema road
atlas. One lucky winner received a subscription to Caravan World
Magazine, compliments of Trader Magazines, another of the Follow the
Sun competition sponsors.

We are looking forward to a few days of exploring the local region,
including a visit to Fraser Island.

This park is one of 3 in Tin Can Bay and after quickly checking out
the others, we think it is the nicest of them all. This opinion was
shared by many of the visitors and permanent residents we spoke to at
Happy Hour. Ian and Christine, the park owners, are very welcoming
and informative, taking the time to explain not only the park
facilities when we checked in, but also the local attractions and town
services. On their recommendation, we are going to see the wild
dolphins being fed tomorrow morning.

Jacob was flying a radio-controlled helicopter he bought at the
Caravan & Camping Show in Brisbane and was engaged in conversation
with another park guest who showed us his model aircraft. This is a
massive plane with a 2 metre wingspan. Tomorrow, weather permitting,
we are going to the local R/C aircraft club to witness this plane in
action. Jacob is very excited.

We have been so busy that we haven't had a chance to go fishing yet
but I am hoping that will change soon!
