Horseshoe Bay

One of the reasons we wanted to return to Bowen was this place -
Horseshoe Bay. It is one of the prettiest beaches I've ever seen, with
the added bonus of coral reef just off the beach.

After farewelling Tommo and Tony, we grabbed our snorkling gear and
jumped into the car for the short drive here.

The weather is glorious, the water is pleasant and we are sitting in
the shade of the casuarinas after enjoying a morning of snorkling,
swimming and exploring the rock pools.

As they say, it doesn't get any better than this.

Time to go soon, though. Lunch beckons, so we'll drop into one of the
seafood retailers for some fresh prawns on the way back to the park.
