Ziplock bags come in many sizes from small to large and have an amazing range of uses, especially great for travelling and
camping
. Here are a few ideas for using Ziplock bags.
For
camp cooking
measure ingredients required and put in zip-lock bags. If you know you need 1 cup of flour and 1 cup of sugar for a recipe, measure and put into separate zip-lock bags at home and label them. This makes
cooking
much easier all you have to do is add it to the mixing bowl, works for similar ingredients.
Precook rice or pasta at home and store in zip-lock bags. This makes camp ccoking much easier, all you have to do is heat it up
Keep paperwork like campground information and receipts together, great for keeping your passport and flight information dry and clean if you are travelling overseas
Precut meat or vegies and store in zip-lock bags, do this at home and then there will be less dishes to do at camp
Excellent for keeping matches dry, storing batteries etc
You can mix up pancake mix in a ziplock bag then add water to it and mix, then unzip it just enough to pour out the batter into frypan
Put your repair patches, sewing kit, pens, paper, books etc. in ziplock bags so everything can be easily seen and organised
