Embed Tracking on Your Site

Subscribers to Tracker can view and share their tracking via their Member Profile page on ExplorOz and can also choose to have the tracking map appear on their own websites. Find out more on this page.

How to do it

In addition to the mapping service EOTrackMe subscribers receive on the ExplorOz website, they can also place their live tracking map on external websites. We offer two choices for how the map can be presented on your site - either a simple map image showing your route path OR the mapping engine, which gives your viewers controls to enlarge the map to fullscreen size, to pan, switch between base layer maps (ie. topo, streets, satellite), and to click on nearby features etc. The choice is yours. Refer to the controls below to select and create the embed codes to copy into your site.

Embed Dynamic Image

This option provides a simple map image that will appear on your site in a fixed size. It offers no controls on your site to zoom, or interact with the map to see more detail, but simply shows your route line on a map of Australia. The route line will refresh live however. Use the controls here to customise the size and base layer map that you wish to show on your site. Embed code will appear based on your selection - just copy this to your site.

Embed Dynamic Map

This option provides your tracking framed within the mapping engine, which gives your viewers controls to pan and switch between base layer maps (ie. topo, streets, satellite). Select your device & the default basemap layer you'd like to offer viewers on your site. Embed code will appear based on your selection - just copy this to your site. You can make the framed map as small or large as you like by changing the height and width statements in the embed code provided.
