The Australian Heritage Festival is a celebration and demonstration of the pioneering and agricultural history from the 1890’s. A re-enactment weekend for young and old, the perfect family day out or weekend away.
The Australian Heritage Festival has been a major annual event at The Woolshed at Jondaryan for over 30 years. A new component and display for 2013 will be the celebration of different transport methods through the eras – from people and animal power through to steam, bicycle’s and motor cars. And don’t forget the Daily Grand Parade! – Everyone’s favourite part of the festival.
Demonstrations of long forgotten skills such as Leather Work, Blacksmithing, Wool Crafts, Wood Carving and Turning, Draught Horse Handling, Milking & Butter Churning, Whip Making and Cracking, School’s In, and much more!
Kids old time activities: SACK RACES, BOBBING FOR APPLES, GUM BOOT THROWING, BILLY CARTS, BILLY BOILING, just to mention a few.
