Still looking for spring packers
Submitted: Tuesday, Jul 01, 2003 at 13:21
charlie
I posted a question a month or so ago asking if people know where I could get some 1.5 inch spring packers for my 80 series as the front is that much lower than the back. I know it will go down with a load in the back but want it to look even when driving around town. I am also considering buying spring helpers in the back to eliminate the sag. I live in
Brisbane
and would like to know if there is somewhere locale to get them or if someone has a postal service?
cheers, Charlie

ARB sell the OME packers
but 1.5 inches is excessive....
you'll have too many other probs, buy new springs to suit the height at the front

replied: Most Spring packers ARB etc are 10mm... so to go 1.5inch would need a few, also may not be a good thing.
You see heaps of 80's around with the old 'sandman van' look of low front and high rear, must be sometihng in the setting up of the
suspension
on them thats hard?

Called OL and they put me onto a bloke who does urethane packers for $25 a pop up to 30mm. They are at Narangba outside of Bris. (Called Engineered Urethane) Looks like I will grab a couple of these tomorrow and be done with it.
I just got my Cooper ST's 305/70 16's on today and they look a hell of a lot better cant wait for landcruiser mountain in a couple of weeks.
Thanks all,
charlie
