Trailler Storage & Sideways Rolling
Submitted: Saturday, Jan 14, 2006 at 08:07
Phil P
Hi all,
When storing my small trailer in the garage (long ways in front of my car). it takes ages to get it really close to the wall. Does any one know of a device that I can fit under the wheels that will enable me to roll it sideways? That way I can push it close to the wall.
I was thinking of a couple of trolley jacks but it would probably be a little cumbersome.
Thanks in advance
Phil P

These are what you're looking for, VPJ's
This link is from an American site, someone like Supercheap must sell them here. The V8 Supercar racers use something similar under the back wheels to move the cars around.

Probably pick up a set for oh....$5000.

places
like repco, coventry.
They are advertised regularly in our workshop tools catalogues that we recieve from most of the big trade suppliers.

ive something advertised to help with changing
tyres
. it slides under wheel same as the others guys describe, but as its only designed for changing
tyres
its smaller, cheaper and probably not as strong, however it may be ok for a small trailer.i cant think where i saw it will keep an eye out for it

replied: Phil, I welded a ring(1" piece of 2.5" pipe) to the bottom of my trailer axle. The top of my trolley jack sits in there nicely and as long as I am careful, I can use this with the jocky wheel to push the trailer sideways.
