new boy

Hi we have just finished a trip round Australia towing a Coromal Princeston 549 with 2003 3ltr auto Patrol leaving Geraldton W.A. on 5th July and returning 14 dec Hugging the coast as much as possible except for going to Tamworth and Canberra. The Van and Car performed without a probelm some technical stuff I did 28808 klms averaged 6.25 ltrs per klm had a ave fuel price of $1.23 p ltr with highest price being Nannutarra and Balladonia 0f !.67 and 1.63 info Mundrabilla is cheapest on the Nullabor being only !.37. Woolies and Coles discount vouchers are a must also ( More Coles servos) take advantage of any other offers going there were 2 when we were away a coles wine one in Vic and a Visa one with Woolies in Qld .Big 4 and Top Tourist membership is a must and next trip I,ll join FPA. Overall and Awesome trip which didnt scratch the surface of this great country and SK 2 is already in the planing stage .For Patrol knockers there are as many if not more of us out there now

I wouldn't be talking up Patrols if they use 6.25 ltrs per km! Or did you do the whole trip with the hand brake on? ;))

New boy clearly made a typo and at 6.25Km per Litre (read 16L/ 100km) that sounds pretty good towing a monster of a towed home, heard of much worse. i looked up the van, it's huge.

Of course he made a typo, but he opened the door with his last sentence. I did finish my reply showing it was all in fun. Perhaps you are a sensitive Patrol owner?
