With the low sulphur fuel being used now, it takes awhile for the seals to leak-just depends on how much vehicle usage. It took me about a hour to do both the shaft seal & top pump cover seal. Parts about $40.00 from memory. You better know what ya doing, as it is a fiddly job & easy to stuff up i.e. theres a small spring/damper that you can loose, mark the throttle lever/shaft when replacing the o-ring other wise if put back wrong the engine will rev sky high or wont idle. Also when puting the pump cover plate back on, be carefull that the high speed mixture screw is not sitting on top of the governor plate-it has to sit behind it. A Toyota Dealer also told me that the new seals are changed to suit the low sulpher fuel!

becarefull I had a leaky injector pump went to one shop quote $450 next shop $1.50 seal and info on how to replace 20 minutes later fixed he also said to use additive or I would be back for major overhaul when asked which one he said it did not matter even atf was ok.

The offer by the oil companies has long expired ... Sorry.
I had mine done at the expense of Shell a couple of years back. They gave me $810 for the repair but Joe at Bendigo told be he got his done in WA for about $80 or less.
Good if you can do it yourself.
