Reversing Camera on the car and the <span class="highlight">caravan</span>

Looking at getting a dual reversing camera on the car and the
caravan. Does there need to be 2 monitors? What options are available with these? What do you reccomend?

You only need one monitor, we got one from Safety Dave (phone 1800 072 338) has various types of cameras and will post direct.
No interest in the business, other than a satisfied customer.

And I'll third it!
We have a camera on both the tug and the van. Switch select the appropriate one.
BTW, we do NOT have a reversing camera - it is on all the time, not just when reverse is selected.
Technically, a reversing camera is only on when the gearbox has reverse gear selected, so MOST rear cameras are not reversing cams. Just me being pedantic!

Hi Lee, As said only need one monitor. But remember that if you want to use it to supplement your rear vision mirrors you will need to take the power from somewhere else besides the reversing light wire.
I have one wired as per instructions with power from the reversing wire. Has its own monitor & is great for coupling up. The others are wireless. One camera high on the canopy: the other on the rear of the van. Act as supplements for the rear vision mirrors. One monitor switchable between the two. The one on the canopy is also used to monitor the draw bar while travelling. Wireless can be subject to interference but minimal if sender kept as close as possible to monitor. Bill

You can switch between cameras by pressing one button on our systems.
Easy to wire up as everything is powered by the monitor cable.
