I've had the misfortune to have to change, or repair a couple of plugs lately, and using the diagrams on the Narva packet, I'd say you view from the "B" side.

That's what I did, and the lights came on, as required.

Hi Rob,
The plugs and sockets are usually numbered if you look carefully.
They are very hard to see.

All plugs of any worth have numbers and if wiring isn't right it isn't right.
Pins and colours and function assignment.

1. Yellow LH flasher/indicator

2 Reverse signal or aux power sometimes.

3 White, chassis/negative earth return of ALL trailer power through plug

4 Green, RH flasher/indicator

5 Blue, electric service brake

6 Red Stop light wiring to stop lights

7 Brown, Tail/marker lamps

If viewing into pins of the base on the trailer plug they are, in clockwise rotation
Yellow, Black, White, Green, Blue, Red and centre Brown

If looking into socket on vehicle they are, in clockwise rotation.

Yellow, Red, Blue, Green, White, Black, Brown centre.

I think Key slot is in line with Yellow or Green I just can't seem to remember that bit.

Think it is Green RHS just not sure. It's late,I'm tired. Thats my excuse so stickin' to it.

Robb1- All trailer wiring diagrams show the layout as per looking into the connection plugs from the coupling side of the male or female ends.
