GPS on a laptop

Hi
I have memory maps on my lap top which was put on with a purchase of a VMS a few years back.
I was wandering if I can use my nokia lumia 800 as an external GPS receiver for the lap top. And if so how ?

Hi

Very unlikely (could be wrong) - would need to output the required NMEA string from GPS.

If you find no solution best bet is probably one of these Globalsat BU-353S4 Mouse GPS

I have one and it works fine with OziExplorer/Win7. I assume it will also work with Memory Map but can't confirm.

Cheers

Memory Map works with a little bluetooth gps device on my laptop. Not many phones will stream their gps data though.

I believe the nokia is windows?
Android has several choices of app that will stream nmea to your computer via blue tooth
And yes in the correct format.
Do an app search for gps over blue tooth and see if windows has simular

Thanks all for your replies.
As said there seems to be apps for android but not for windows. I will have to purchase a Globalsat BU-353S4 Mouse GPS.
