Hi Friends,
Just a quick question, when I pull the pin on the break safe switch on the drawbar should I hear the brake magnets make a humming/buzzing noise? I don't hear any noise what so ever coming from the brakes, the brake lights activate and that's it.

Appreciate any help
Cozzie

The onlu time you will hear humming/buzzing from the magnets is when they are being activated by a pulse controller up front.

The breakaway switch just connects the van battery to the brakes and is therefore fully ON, ie, no pulsing at all, so there will be no humming or buzzing possible.
The only thing you might hear is a, "snap/clack", ( no pop) as the magnets attach to the inside of the drum face.

Whenever you pull the pin to check you can check if the wheels are locked by jacking up each side and then trying to turn the wheel.

Cozzie,
When connected up, pull the pin and try to drive off - you won't be able to.
Easy test.

Cheers,

Bill

Somehow putting the van on the lawn pulled the pin out in about 20 minutes heard a buzzing noise coming from inside the vanon checking the battery red light was on flat battery 9.5 v,so disconnected and immediately charged all ok.
So dont leave the pin out for very long.
