I was seriously considering of doing the same thing as you have done. Is the switch that you are using one of those that you can select which battery you want to use, or is it an isolator switch that disconects the second battery????
I have a 97 discovery and the only thing stoppng me putting in one of those selector switches is that i dont know if the electrics will handle the voltage changes and bleep them selves ( you know how these computers are), Any one out there have any experiance or ideas ??

hehehehehe no worries John, I knew what ya meant. Spoke to Rod and got some prices. Am now trying to sort out the battery. I am very interested in the Optima's but, finding a space in the engine bay is a bit of a bugger with a 2.8 Diesel Hilux. Have seen it done, but the 2nd battery seems rather small, might just be able to squeeze an Optima in if i lay it on its side. Am still exploring more options. Will keep you all informed as to what my final outcome is. Cheers.
