Lost oil skin vest on at Serpentine Lakes on Anne Beadell HWY

No, sorry Stephen, I do not have exact GPS coords. Heading east, it was just off the track directly beside the serpentine lake bed on the west side. There were trees/bushes a fair way off the road, and tyre tracks led into where we camped. It is likely someone else has found the jacket or dingoes have gotten to it. I was so hoping the Tasmanians we met the next day, heading west, might have found it as we drew very clear directions.

I hope it was found, but if the dingo's got hold of it, then it will never be found again in one piece.

Will keep our eyes peeled when we are out there in a couple of weeks.

Well we saw nothing on the 8th so it's been found by somebody. Would have been handy if I had of found it as we had temps of -4.3 over night.

Thanks Stephen, would appreciate you checking it out. We camped in a spot directly beside the dry lake bed, just off the road, on the left as you head east before crossing the dry bed, our vehicles near the first trees, our hole dug just up in the trees/bushes beyond.
Duncan, did you camp or explore exactly in that spot? The desert is amazing isn't it? Wild flowers everywhere when we went through and not a scratch on our Pajero, contrary to all the reports we had heard. Not a single flat tyre either, although the corrugations were something to be reckoned with.

We'll be passing that way in a few weeks so will also keep a lookout.

Hi Anna, no we camped West of the border. Agree there was a good display of wild flowers and the corrugations around Emu were disgusting.

Stephen, we'll join the Anne Beadell at Vokes Hill, after we've been to Maralinga and will travel it to Neale Junction when we will head south along the Connie Sue. It should be sometime after August 20th that we hit that section. There'll be 3 vehicles all towing campers, two Vista and one Ultimate, 2 Prados and one 200 Series..

Sounds like wearing a jacket could be a health hazard.

Thanks Phil, that'd be great. I rather think the dingoes might have wrecked it if the other people didn't find it. I just wish they had contacted us either way, and that we had gotten their mobile number.
