G'Day all,
Can anyone tell me what to pay for the NEW Cooper ST/C 265/75-16?
Have priced at 2 dealers and now there seems to be a bit of controversy over which is doing the right thing!

I run ST's (not the new STC's)! Bought them last July for $250 fitted & balanced.

What you need to be wary about is whether the price INCLUDES the mileage guarantee or not. Cooper apears to want the dealer/reseller to cary this warranty - consequently this goes into the price.

I figured if the tyre was bad it would be obvious & therefor replaceable. I, as a function of my driving practices, largely dictate the mileage I will get.

Hope this helps

The Cooper warranty is:

Pretty much explains it all.

I recently put a set of Cooper ST-C on my GU. Cost was $299 each fitted.
As I live outside a capital city & frequently drive off the bitumen, the warranty is void from the start.
I tried these as I was only getting 20,000 km from my BFG AT's with them being torn apart & worn away at the back - front not nearly so bad.
So far I am not overly impressed, but I have only done 2000 km on them, so it's a bit early to say too much.

Paid $308 for 265X75X16. Top dollar but more than happy with improved traction.

Thanks for the replies,
I'd had a price from two different non-local dealers that suggested a $33ea. saving over our local dealer, upon asking local guy if he could match this, it seemed to cause a bit of a stink over the cost as apparently Coopers are an exclusive type deal and as such are meant to have a level playing field re: selling price. Anyhow it all seems to be panning out now.

Hi Glenn,

I've always had a problem with Coopers pricing policy - always sounded like price fixing and was anti-competitive. Dealers used to tell you that they'd lose their franchise if they discounted. Had a couple of friends who got some used casings for nothing with their Coopers which clinched the deal. And last years price everywhere was $288 for the 10 ply.
