Petrol or diesel?

Unplugged sensor - AFM perhaps?

By "all timing checked" do you mean you've checked both the ignition timing (if it's petrol) and cam timing?

Does it start easily & idle well, and rev smoothly to 3000, or is it missing and farting?

Hi Doc,
its a diesel
gears all checked letters line up
timing chain all lines up with blue and yellow link that lines up wit injector pump and cam shaft
starts easily idles well , slow to rev to 3000 doesnt miss and wont go over 3000 revs,
Thanks Danny

could it be that a rag may have been left in the intake to stop dirt getting in while doing repairs? easy done, it has happened before.

I've seen valves bent on a chev V8 because somebody forgot to get the rag out of the intake that was put there to stop dust and foreign objects while the carby was off.

Hi Danny, Did you have the pump done at the same time.If not you will find the pump may be worn to the degree of the pre reco. If you haven't it is wise to reco the radiator as well as if you don't it can affect your warranty on the rebuild.

Cheers Col

If no fault codes are returning, it's generally a simple mechanical problem such as fuel starvation or air getting in the fuel.

Disconnect the fuel line at the pump and connect a length of fuel hose from a clean 20L drum with clean diesel in it.
Take it for a run, see if this solves the problem.
If it does, you have a problem with the fuel primer pump leaking air or a blockage in the fuel line between tank and pump.
