Hi guys, I'm newish to Australia (from Scotland) and have bought a new landcruiser 76 series GXL wagon.
I want to buy a second set of wheels & tyres for my off road adventures.
I fancy 285/75R16 tyres on Landcruiser 105 series live axle GXL rims 16/8, my problem is getting the correct part number so I can order them from CMI toyota?

Anyone bought these rims, is the correct part number 4261160200.

Any help would be appreciated.

Al.

Hi Al
Yeah part no is 42611-60200, I got them from local dealer $120 ea
You will need steel wheel nuts to suit as well, 20 toyota nuts were $130

Great truck.
Cheers Ken

a couple of things
1) std factory 76 series mag wheel nuts will fit the steel rims (but look s**t)
2) holden VE commodore wheel nuts (for steel wheels) are same size and taper as toyota wheel nuts and much much cheaper and even easy to get second hand.
3) I purchased 5 105 series rims in 2 buys on flea bay and they averaged out at $ 60 each with centre caps. Hint use a hole saw to cut centre out of front caps to allow access to f /w hubs and put a ring of self adhesive1/2 inch foam around inside to prevent entry of sand/dirt/mud.
gives the factory look.
Have used all these combos over time on my 79 series.
cheers

Allan,
Before rushing in I would do a bit more research.

First whilst genuine Toyota wheels are a safe way to go they are usually expensive and it is worth shopping around between dealers as their price will vary. Sometimes if they have them in stock they will sell them cheaper. I would join LCOOL - the LC owners forum where there is a wealth of advice and knowledge. You may find there are secondhand wheels for sale there.

I have a 100 series wagon with GXL steel wheels as I don't like mag wheels even though they look good. I cracked 2 in rocky country years ago and never will use them again.

There are plenty of after market wheels at much lower prices but you have to be very careful as some of them are Chinese made and poor quality. Not necessary just the cheap ones either. You will get good advice on LCOOL where there are good ones.

welcome to Aus. I was born not far from the Scottish border but left for Aus when I was about 8.

Thank you very much for your help guys.
LCOOL sound like a great idea.
I have an ARB compressor (CKMA12/24) & would love to see where other people have mounted similar compressors, my Cruiser has ABS & I've ordered a second batt tray which does not leave much room under the bonnet for anything.

All the best,

Al.

Hello Allein,

I'm in Whyalla Sa.

Your possibly not gony believe me but I lived just off Crookston Road in Glasgow, the old Crookston Home was knocked down and a new housing estate built.
My dad still lives there.
I always wanted to buy one of the bungalows on the Crookston Rd.

Same goes for yourself, if your ever in town give me a shout and we will go for a beer or two!!!

Cheers,

Al.
