Im interested to know if anyone has a Quickboat? I just bought Skull (my husband) one for Christmas, and would like to know what motor to buy. It would need to be transported in the Prado.

You are so thoughtful, he is a lucky boy.
I have a Quickboat and still waiting for the accessories to come through. Oars and Bimini.
The motor, Tohatsu 9.8 2 stroke was my choice. Why? warranty , backup, servicable just about any where, parts availability, and from what forums say, reliability and quality.
And the importer threw in a DataDot package to.

Tohatsu 9.8 2stroke it is. I posted the same question on one other forum and got a very similar reply.

AlbyNSW, thanks for the offer. If he doesn't start catching more fish, it's not out of the question!

Hahahaha hopefully he is using the wrong bait.

The tohastsu is a good motor, I think you will find that Mercury have that same motor as well. Mercury sell a 9.9 as an American version which is genuine Mercury and what they call their lightweight version which is a Tohatsu built motor which is identical only black

At least that was the case about five years ago

Isabella, do you have a single sister? Your hubby is a very lucky man... good luck to both of you, enjoy your travels.
