I cannot seem to be able to download this map successfully. Only parts of the map appear and the bits that do are illegible. Can anyone offer "layman" advice on how I may be able to solve this problem

I have already tried to assist Ron but have been unsuccessful. He tells me he is using the Memory-Map PC app and has used it successfully before with other maps downloaded through the MM app. From what he is telling me, he is only having troubles with the activation of the EOTopo map to complete the auto- fill in of the map tiles. I have explained that Memory-Map have a process to do this and the steps are detailed in the EOTopo Starter Pack - which is Memory-Map's provided help/instruction file. I have pointed him at the Starter Pack and shown him exactly what section refers to this problem and provides the solution but he is telling me that he is still unsuccessful so there is nothing more I can do. Is someone available to help him please? Adele is away on leave all week so I don't know what she would normally do in this instance. Thank you in advance to anyone that is kind enough to offer him some support.

Assuming Ron has purchased the licence for EO topo from the Memory map store Log in here or from within the app or PC program then you can download chunks as you hover over various areas or better still, bulk download the entire map here. Download all the 2015 files into a directory that your map points to in your PC or Android App. You have to load it into an IOS device using Itunes.

If you bulk download you will have the entire map in your device. If you do chunks you only have the bits that you hovered over in the app.

If you have bought the licence AND ACTIVATED it then you will see a clear picture of the maps. If you haven't done both then you will see a crosshatch ( not crosshash!!!) of map parts interwoven with blotchy colours, this indicates it is still encrypted and you have not activated the map and or paid for it.

It definitely sounds like it isn't activated.

Ron, are you using PC, Android or IOS?

Also you can click on demo and the map will come good for 3 days for a trial then go back to encrypted if you don't pay for it.

Encrypted maps look something like this.

Ok I am very slow tonight.

I See Michelle that it is the PC version.

1)Download the maps from the bulk map location in the link above.
2)Click on Map>Map List...>Refresh Map List
3)Put the maps in one of the folders highlited or add another folder and put the maps in that. (You need ALL 3 2015 EO topo files)
4)Now hit ok ( do steps 2 and 3 again after the files are in the folder)
5)Make sure your cursor is pointing to somewhere in Australia and right click, the EO topo map shouldnow show up. Select it.
6)IF it looks ok, you are home. If it looks like the map above then click on DMS on the top tool bar.
Log in, click on the EO topo map and activate the map.

Now it should be ok if you bought it.

Hopefully that is it.
