Checked out past threads on these shocks, and the latest one was 2006, so thought I'd see if there were any more recent reports --good or bad--- on these Repco shocks.---the early reports were all favourable, but by now some of you serious outbackers may have something new to add.----curious as to how they would handle the rough stuff ---they are on my 100LC newly installed when purchased, and with air bags wondered if they'd cope with the corries etc.

In my corrugations are not the major issue, most reasonable quality shocks will handle them.
The biggest problem a LC100 has is the front to back pitching you get over undulating tracks of which the French Line is a good example. It is probably related to having torsion bars at the front. Air bags in the rear springs help provided you strengthen the lower mounts, but do not totally solve the problem. Some have suggested Koni's at $2000+ are the answer but thats a lot of my money on someone else's say so. I know others who have tried many different types but none have coped with the for aft pitching. I am thinking a shock with a separate oil canister and being adjustable is probably heading in the right direction. I look forward to the replies.

I put them on the front of my wifes Holden Nullarbor, and they where simply not up to the job with a b/bar, in fact they where not much better then the original ones I took of. Replaced them with Monroe Magums which where much better. The magums repsented much better value for money. I put them on the rear of my old Jack and they where OK.
