Is it true or false that the speed limit on this road only 60KPH, I have not been on this road for awhile now there could be a lot of bank up in places, but it would be good for the neck benders as my wife says to me to keep my eyes on the road.
Cheers

There is a substantial portion that is restricted to 60,but there are also substantial sections that are up to 100 kmph

I've done the GOR three times in the last couple of years (given up all hope of striking good weather), but the speed limits are no different to anywhere else in Australia: 50/60 in built up areas, and speed limits the same as you would expect elsewhere in Australia. There are plenty of bends, as you would expect, so also plenty of speed restrictions that take road conditions into account. You certainly wouldn't/couldn't sit on 100/110 the whole way: number one, you would miss the scenery; number two, you could end up very wet!
