Blocked drain tube 100 series landcruiser

Hi all, I know this topic has been touched on before but I have water leaking on the passenger side floor of our 100 series. I have cleaned out the drain tube and have removed the glove box and the cover behind, and cleaned it out and still I have a leak, does any one know of a way to fix this leak without removing the entire dash. Any ideas?

Can you actually see where the leak is coming from? Is it the drain tube for sure?
Mine had leaks from the roof rack bolts and it tracked its way down to under the floor. is that a possibility?

Heres a guaranteed fix Take out the glovebox At the right end there is a rectangular box which is part of the aircon.
Take the back panel off, clean around the seal and the edge of the box and get some windscreen sealant and cover the edge of the box and seal and put it back on. It may pay to rod along the bottom of the box in case it is blocked further in than you tried. Have had two do that and fixed it this way both times.
I actually put a bead of sealant on then pushed the rubber seal into it and covered it with some more and tidied it up when tightened up.
It seems the bottom of the box actually seems to drain towards the back and the residue in the bottom eventually leaks into the cabin.
It never leaked again in either of them and thats over 4 years ago

Is it just when it rains, or is it just when running the air cond or is it leaking all the time?

Thanks Judy. That rules out everything else! Has the rubber tube come away from the air cond unit under the dash? - usually doesn't have a clip.

I recently had the aircon evaporator changed lovely cold air but water collected inside on the floor. Took it back auto elec said there were no kinks or anything wrong he just added a sealant where the original was collapsed and all good now.
So sounds like you just need to redo the seal around the evaporator as said above

Just a suggestion, Judy.
To do a task as described above, it might pay to remove the passenger side
seat. It's only 4 bolts, move
seat back, or remove completely, and you've heaps of room to get the job done.

Plenty of room when glovebox is removed.
Lot of heavy work to remove the
seat Just push it right back and stand on the ground and lean in. Im 185cm tall and it was ok.

Okay. Been behind the glovebox plenty of times, but wasn't sure how much of a contortionist one needs to be, attacking the evaporator.

Is it condensation building up on the outside of the air vent pipes I've had 2 old GQ patrols that doth dripped onto my clutch foot in certain weather conditions or on long trips.

Its dampness dripping off the condenser and leaking back through the seal at the cabin end as I said above The pipes are not in the cabin in a cruiser and are on the passenger side

Hi all, thank you for all info on how to fix the water leak in our cruiser, we sealed around the evaporator unit and cleaned out again and so far no leak, so thank you all again
