Detroit diff opposed to lsd

I have a Mitsibishi Triton 2wd high clearance vehicle. Which diff would be better a Detroit Diff or a Limited Slip Diff

Detroit lockers have a reputation for being harsh and clunky, likewise LSD's have a reputation for wearing with age. It probably really depends on what you want to do, but it might be better to have 4wd capability. If its not an option, I understand the Detroit Truetrac is quite a powerful type of LSD which works on a gear principle rather than clutches so it shouldn't wear out. This is what I would consider.
