4WD club recommendations

Folks,
We are looking to join a 4WD club in the
Sydney area, preferably with meetings on the northern side.
Our interest is primarily outback touring during school holiday periods and family oriented trips. Extensive
driver training, competition and difficult tracks are not our interest.
I know there are a few clubs in the area, but having been a member of many clubs of various kinds over the years, you never really know the real interests of those in them until you have been around a while, so I'm hoping some responses may short circuit that process.

Come and join the one in Wagga Wagga, we have just joined it last week and brilliant bunch of people. Already had one activity day and going on a 4 day trip over
easter, and got 2 day trips coming up.......way to go.
Sorry I know its a bit far to drive, bit it would be worth it.......Hopew your club you join is half the fun as this one is.

Nissan club meets in 5 Dock, great bunch of people.. do all sorts of travelling

The Nissan Patrol 4WD Club take in memebers with all makes of vehicles, no discrimination. Help to train you in basic 4wd courses all as part of the
membership. Have lots of family trips in all different
places & you choose what you like and are comfortable with.

The Hornsby - Kuringai 4wd club meets at Hornsby, a family orientated club, but has a good mix of youngsters, families and
grey nomads.
While we do have a basic
driver training course which we encourage new members to attend especially if they have no 4wd experience. As we are a small club it is only run a couple of times a year. There is a huge range of vehicles from Subaru's to F250's and even a Canter 4wd etc.
Whilst some of the younger ones like the hard trips the bulk are family weekends and one dayers and there are usually 2-3 outback/ longer trips every year depending on members. Always someone doing something.

Check out the Toyota Landcruiser club - website is www.tlcc.com.au The website has full details of the club. The club is family orientated and has its own land for camping on and a fully accredited driever
training programe. Also runs trips all over the country. I have been a member for over 5 years and am very happy that I joined.
