Kickass <span class="highlight">solar</span> panel review

In a world where there are a million different 12 volt solar panels to buy I just wanted to post my findings of the kickass solar panels on here. Originally I had purchased a few of the maxray solar panels and had found the to be useless (please see my other thread)i now have the 200 watt folding kickass solar panel and am really happy with their quality and their effiency. In my opinion the extra wattmeter is also a must when buying a panel. If looking at 12 volt solar panels I would recommend you give the maxrays a miss and give these a go

Hi Morgan

Just like you, I have the 200w kickass and it is what you call a true, 12v solar panel.

Cheers

Can you tell me what the typical current readings are on a good sunny day with a battery at 75% charged with your system please?

Ihey Peter I did it today I started my fridge and put a couple of cold cans in it and left it get to temperature for a couple of hours I don't think it would have got down to 75% but whenim hooked up the panel it generated 12 amps and if I was to try to predict an average amp draw from then back to full charge I would assume about 10.8 to 11 amps that's through my bcdc1225 redarc
