Quarantine SA NT question

We will be traveling from
Alice Springs down to Mt Dare and across the French line to
Birdsville in a few week's time. According to the Quarantine websites, we can't take fresh fruit & veg into South Australia from the Northern Territory.
So where do I
shop for the trip? I am sure that Mt Dare gets its supplies from Alice anyway. Are the quarantine rules enforced in this neck of the woods?

You will be fine. Just get your supplies from Alice and enjoy your trip.
You are going nowhere near our agriculture in SA. There are no quarantine inspections on the SA/NT border

Any
bins or checkpoints will be
well south of where you will turn off to go across the Simpson. Its a similar situation to coming from WA across the Nullarbor - the checkpoint isnt until you reach
Ceduna by which time you have been in SA for a fair few kms. Cant see many fruitflies thriving out in the desert. Sure, the quarantine rules are written on a state by state basis, so technically that is what the rule is - but
geography and commonsense have a place too.
