Heading from Copeton Dam to Innaminka in September, can't decide which direction we should take. Copeton Dam - Bourke - Currawinya NP - Thargomindah - Innaminka. Or Copeton Dam - St George - Cunnamulla - Innaminka. Open to suggestions, would like scenery or places worth stopping for a look. Thanks for your comments in advance.

I think the more interesting route is via the corner country - so Bourke - Milparinka - Tibooburra - Camerons Corner and up the Old Strezlecki to Innamincka.

Thanks Phil G, from Innamincka we will be traveling to Cameron Corner - Tibooburra - Broken Hill. Definitely high on the list is the corner country.

We did Thargomindah to Innamincka year before last, road is sealed to the South Oz border, from there the track was a terrible, but may be different now.
It's worth a night at Noccundra camping on the Wilson River, good meals at the pub, plus hot showers.
Cheers

I totally agree with baznspud the road from the border to Innaminka was a real shocker last year in October but worthwhile to follow the Burke and Wills story. Head up through St.George and Cunnamulla, the roads were pretty good then and would recommend the Warrego Riverside Tourist Park about 3.5 ks out of Cunnamulla (south) ask at Info.centre, happy touring.
