I want to store my van for 12 months, and would like to know if anybody knows of an insurance company that charges cheaper premiums as it would be not towed for the time that im away.
Cheers

Where abouts mate ?

A storage place one of my past employers used had a lot of vans etc stored in between the storage units, as they had plenty of room for them.
Not sure how much they charged, but could be worth asking.

As long as you have insurance that will cover you for such, just about any industrial area with a large yard might offer reasonable storage rates, but of course hard to tell honest folk (employees etc too), or if they might have intruders tamper with van.

Hi humpback, try giving (caravan) insurance companies like CIL a call on that one.

Jeez, I totally misread that post !!
Thought it was looking for cheaper places to store a van !!
Sorry, and carry on . . . yes, I think the ring around would be the only way to get accurate info on that, particularly the specialist cara insurers.

I know NRMA offer a layup option in their policies because they offered me that option recently. It may only be for part of the year though. Club Marine do the same thing with boat insurance so it may be a common option with a lot of insurers.
