Hi All,

I have a question to those of you that have a Truma E2400 gas heater. Does the warm air outlet rotate/swivel to allow you to direct the air in different directions. Also, if you have a dual outlet are you able to close one off. I am getting different answers from different suppliers, including Dometic.

Also, any feedback on performance from those that have had them.

Thanks, Kevin

Had our E2400 in the van for about 3 years - in my view worth every cent of the supply and install cost (had ours done a couple of years after initial van delivery - by the van maker). To me it seems extremely well designed, highly effective* and efficient - the fully automatic thermostat operation is very reliable. We only have the one outlet at floor level - and it swivels 360 degrees - the directional finns are fixed at about 35 degrees, so the heat can be sent ''all round'' but not straight ahead. I don't know about the options for multiple outlets.
*vans are small spaces so a small heater like this has no trouble.

Agree with Darian ours is only 3 months old but has been great. As stated the outlet can be rotated. It would be good in our case to be able to direct the air straight ahead but it still works a treat. If you get one have the thermostat/switch mounted so you can reach it from the bed so you can turn it on without having to get cold.

Hi
We had ours fitted a month or so ago with a single outlet that is fitted to the end of the bed. As said previously the fins on the outlet is fixed at approximately 30 degrees and as the frame of the bed overhangs the wooden bed frame the heat was sent in the wrong direction, either u der the bed or the floor, so I just unclip the finned outlet. This directs the hot air down the length of the van. I cannot locate a straight outlet on any site to replace it. This heater works effectively on our 19'6 van. Our control is also fixed near our headboard of the bed for ease of access. If only the HWS switch was mounted alongside it.

No Kevin, you cannot close off one of the dual outlets.
