Rob I think your tracking is working fine but remember unless you save or clear your tracking, each day will record as an overnight stop wherever the last signal prior to reaching your Geofence was recorded. As your Geofence is 2km radius and travelling on main roads would only take a few minutes to get from Mt Barker to inside your Geofence my guess is that the MB position that is recorded as your o/night was just the last position recorded on that day before you turned off your unit that was outside your Geofence. So it thinks that's where you spent the night as that's the last recorded position for that date. This is not an error.

Don't forget that it is best to save segments of your trip and name the different parts of your journey. This will move them off the active tracking and into the Treks tab on your profile and you can label them with a name that makes sense - ie. indicates location/region/track name. You can also choose to "clear" any tracking - which does not save them but does remove the active tracking so is really "deleting".

Trackers should note that from time to time you might get straight line data - that simply means that you've moved a significant distance from the last recorded position. Occasionally, for various technical reasons your device may not communicate successfully with our server at the time our server is trying to locate you for a position update (this is a system generated timed occurrence). You also have the option to adjust your settings that will determine the "accuracy" of your recorded points - ie. the frequency of recordings, because obviously the more points recorded over a distance = greater accuracy.
