Nicki,We use a scuba tank inflation system when we are able to carry the tank (usually in the trailer). We made the system up using a very old (not good for diving) first stage and fitted a hose connector to it with a 8M long hose and quick connect fittings on the ends. We are able to connect either an inflator with gauge or air brush to this and it makes life a lot easier. We used to infate our troopie
tyres to 60PSI from 15-20PSI in around 1 min each instead of about 8 mins eac using a compressor. If you are able to get a first stage you can also reduce the inflation pressure from 150PSI (standard low pressure rating) to about 70PSI, this will reduce the condensation that occurs around the value (this can cause corrosion of stell tanks). If you can afford the space then this system is the best for fast tyre inflation.
