I managed to extricate myself the following day so am Okay. The tirfor cable was stuck inside the tirfor it will be fixed ready for the next excursion.

Steve I wouldn't go advertising the whereabouts of your stranded vehicle on the web. Now before anyone starts about the trustworthy quality of the users of this site, you just never know!!! You might find very little of it left, but I spose that'd make it easier to get out!!!!!! Maybe you should think about joining a club or taking another vehicle on your trips. Its obvious if you're going bush by yourself you might invest in a bit more recovery gear.
