Same here - just bought a 75 troopy and need to educate myself
about diesel engines and 4wd-specific maintenance issues. Anyone have
any ideas? There used to be a CAE course in Prahran where you used
your own vehicle, but they've stopped that now.
Appreciate any help!

The Toyota Land Cruiser Club (TLCC) of Sydney have a course module called Bush Maintenance and since all states have a TLCC maybe the course module will be available for you in the melbourne branch of the TLCC? I'm sure you can find their listing in our clubs category in our Business Directory. This is not a toyota specific club, so don't worry about the club name, its just a starting point for you.
