Hi

I want to fit a couple of roof bars to my DMax twincab. Normally I have fixed the type that bolt into the metal tracks which are pop riveted to the roof. However I am considering the cheaper type which just clamp to the roof above the doors and are removable (Rhino rack).

Has anyone had problems with them other than the possibility of scratching paint.

Thanks

Hi, i put a set on my 08 rodeo. No issues. Bought them second hand and got arb to cut them to size and professionally fit them. Carrying two 'yaks no problems. Seem solid and quiet. Had them 12 months now. Cheers doc.

Thanks for that. I didn't want to buy a pair and find that they were unsafe.

Hi,
I have a pair of Rhino racks for my dual cab BT50 MY14. I fitted them myself which was easy enough, you just need to be a little finicky applying stickers etc. That identify on the car exactly where they should go when you put them on. Instructions are clear enough and you will need to buy a set specific to your vehicle.
They work fine with a couple of Oztent RV5's on top approx. 40kg. No scratches at all and they are not too noisy if you leave them on.
I would recommend them, also think about what you want to carry. I also included an eyelet on both ends of each rack so it made it easier to use ratchet straps.
