We are planning a trip to WA via these 2 national parks, travelling along the Garry
Junction Road, CSR or Wapet Road and Talawana Track. We plan to leave
Alice Springs around the 3rd week in May and we were wondering if there was anyone else who would be interested in travelling with us especially in Karlamilyi NP.

We'll be up there early June. Entering from the East via Talawana track. May run into each other (not literally)

Al, mate I have to disagree. Yep that stretch between the Canning at
Well 24 and the Cotton Creek turnoff is as worse a corrugations as you'll experience anywhere (but it is a section of the notorious Canning don't forget) but overall, the Talawana is one of my favourite stretches. It's under used, gives access to some great historical sites and covers a diversity of terrain. I'm a wrap for it.

Well 24. Corrugations much worse than the Anne Beadell Hwy, washouts, soft sand. But as you say, otherwise a good drive. Still wouldn't do it again if I want to stay married. lol

Anyone going via the Canning or other roads (?) in that area may like to know fuel, fresh veg and frozen meat plus water is available at Parrngur (Cotton Creek). $3.20 a litre in July last year.
Just give the community leader a bell to
check they've had a fuel drop. Better than trusting drums to be left untouched at
well 23.
