Hi
We're planning to
camp at Murramarang NP South Coast NSW (
Pebbly Beach campsite) and want to launch a boat at
Batemans Bay. Does anyone have any experience getting a boat into and
parking it at
Pebbly Beach? We're tenting it, the last time we were there we didn't bring the boat.
Could you park it there, and is there an adequate turning circle or drive through / loop to get in and out when towing a boat?
I would appreciate any input, the
campsite staff thought that the tight turns and the turning bay in
Pebbly Beach may be an issue. The road through the NP should not be an issue. The road and
parking at
Pebbly Beach may be though.
We have a van towing a boat which is approx. 6m in length.
Another option is to tow a small 3 - 3.5m length dinghy, that is not preferred since I'll have to buy them a dinghy and trailer.
Thanks in advance,
Nev

It has been years since I went there but try the NP site for info. They say it is 2WD access so unless you are towing the Queen Mary I think that you shouild be okay. But just in case ask them.
Just quietly; If you are a Veteran call 1300 072 757 and ask about a free NSW NP parks pass. But don't tell anyone about it/ Okay!

Nev,
I am a regular around the Durras, Depot and
Pebbly Beach area. The road in is all sealed and in good condition. You have to drop down a steep
hill to get into
Pebbly Beach camp site itself, but you should be fine. You will likely need to take up all the road around some tight narrow bends but just keep a
lookout for other cars. The
camp area itself is a one-way loop so you probably won't need to turn the car and boat around. The bigger issue is room to park as the sites are comparatively small, so you may need to unhook and pop the boat in the larger car park. Very safe to do so.
Cheers

Hello Geobserver, a feature on this site is that any Place that is mentioned by name will auto backlink to the
Places page where people can find the GPS positions, photos, description and other relevant info.... HOWEVER the links will only be given when there are photos - so not as to encourage unnecessary clicks and to only forward people to genuine info that is going to add value.
So as the above
Places you've mentioned are not linking I was wondering if you could perhaps load some photos and even add some info into the relevant
Places please?
Here is
Places
I see that by using search on those names they all appear - just be sure to put photos on the right
places. As for example, Duras has 36 matches. Just verify by looking at the map, and "Place Type" etc. Thanks in advance, if you need more help just sing out!
