Hi. Any suggestions of
places around
Sydney that do trailer alterations? Thinking of changing from steel to alloy rims but may have to change the axle. Would also want an extra metal storage box manufactured for the hot water shower. Thanks

If you get the same offset alloy rim you wont have to change axle.
Any sheet metal fab
shop will be able to make you a box to suit your shower.

An indication of where you live would help narrow down the options.
Out here in the south west, Willex in Campbelltown will build an axle to your specs.
There are any number of sheet metal
places that will build you a custom storage box - look in Yellow Pages. I use PDZ in Smeaton Grange for sheet metal supplies and fabrication.

Any of the trailer parts suppliers will sell you an axle to your requirements.
If you have any mechanical aptitude then doing the swap out is easy enough. Just nuts and bolts.

You should
check out the steel and alloy boxes at
places like SCA and Repco - they have a range of sizes and you may find one that will sit across your draw bar.
A custom-made alloy job will cost you a bomb. Eg. one to sit on my 'running board' forward of the wheel was c. $600.
