Perhaps check out why its not working? They are good aerials. If you are in a town, and its not working, then there might be a cable issue? If there is a signal, it will pick it up, no worries
But if you are so remote, there is no signal, then they dont work. In fact nothing but sat tv does.

Good luck

Have you got the power to it turned on. You wont get TV at places that have verticle polarity with a Winegard as unless you buy the head adapter they only get horizontal polarity.

Our Winegard has been great. Until one night a couple of weeks ago when my wife complained she couldn't tune any channels - power switch to the aerial was turned off.

I have modified mine so that I can tip it to the vertical position.

Simple to do, just cut the 25mm square aluminium tube in half (not the one with the lead in) and then fix 2 lengths of aluminium angle bolted to one of the square sections.

You need to bend the angle inwards so it created enough friction on the square tube to stop it flapping in the breeze. I use a broom to flip it over.

Using the Antenna Mate app, it tells you which direction to point the antenna and whether it is a horizontal or vertical transmitter.

When you wind the antenna down, it automatically flips back to the correct position.

Have a look at the post from gagin02 - http://www.caravanersforum.com/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=27771

I tried using this method but ended up using the 2 angle sections as it gave much more grip making a tighter pivot.

We have a caravan club with about 80 vans in it. All different types of Antenna. Some places the Winegard is best, some places the Jack, some places others. Whatever you get just make sure all your connections are well made. The latest Winegard with the bi directional head seems good too.
Winegard Bi Directional.

Thank you and each other that have replied to my query. I have had the whole antennae checked and it is getting power, the leads all show correct installation etc
It was that there was no signal being received from the head ( which was not the original winegard unit ) and I wanted opinions on later model retrofit units for the existing winegard unit. From my investgations and your help I think I will go for the winegard bi directional unit. Again thanks to all.

I installed a satellite TV to my Toyota Coaster after only being to get reception near towns with an areal, now it doesn't matter where i am, i can pull up and within about a minute i have crystal clear TV reception. Best move i ever made and it is all free.
