Hi! All, We have a 2013,22ft Jayco Sterling full van, water OK from tanks with pump going, but when the high pressure hose is connected we get a very slow trickle, I then need to switch on pump, but by doing so the pump aspirates the water from our tank and not the high hose, will welcome any suggestions. There is a pressure reducing valve in the mains line, probably under the van near the connection point. It is a brass fitting. Sometimes these have been known to be faulty.
Jayco have been good with this issue. Give them a call

I'll second that. I had to dismantle mine a while back, there was some rubbish blocking the valve . Some of these pressure reduction valves are sealed and some you can service. Don't be tempted to remove it altogether as some of the appliances in your van will not take the high pressures found in some towns.

The water pressure limiting valve can be pulled apart and then you need to remove the spring and give it a good stretch by hand, replace the spring and you will have perfect water pressure still allowing the limiter to do it's job limiting high water pressure.

You may need to do this every 12months or just when the pressure is dropping again.

Bob's picture is what it looks like and you can just push the John Guest fittings in to completely remove to stretch the spring.

Much cheaper than replacing.
