Can I just suggest that you download Wiki Camps and have a look at the area. There are heaps of spots to camp around there. It's a while since I've been there but Green Patch was always popular. Some spots you need to book in early if you plan to attend during any of the holiday periods.
Watch out for Funnel web spiders
