Just spent 2 weeks on board cruising the Kimberly's with owners of Indee station & caravan park Colin & Betty, What a great couple, staying in there park/station must be full of laughs & a good time, If you are staying there say G'day from Vince & I hope Betty's foot gets better quickly so see can get around

We went on a cruise up there and would like to go back. MV Diversity II a few years ago.
Was yours a regular cruise and what was the boat's name?

check them out for a cruise ourselves.
Or were you using the term "cruise" and in a ruuber legged vehicle?

The vessel was Echo Abrolhos 35mtr power cat, 20 passengers 11 crew & it was worth every cent, it was a great Trip
The crew were great & friendly with a lot of local knowledge the skipper Fenzy had us in areas you only get from years of experience in the area, the Chef Ray was great & nothing was a problem
The custom tenders made the trip even better, it may not be as up market as other cruiser’s in the Kimberly's but you got to see a lot more hands on due to the 4 x custom 140hp powered tenders & the crews local knowledge & their helpfulness was 2nd to none.
If you like the crew to be just the crew don’t go on this cruise as it soon became just one big happy family (passengers & crew) Cruising the Kimberly together. It was awesome

EO has two
places that appear to be the same place but at different locations, Indee Station close to the highway and Indee further east.

Enjoyed our stay at Indee Station in 2014. Stayed an extra day to wander out to see the Big
Rock covered in Indigenous etchings. Happy hour there is a lot of fun with nibbles supplied.....huge room.

Just for interest, on the 31st December 1968 a MMA Vickers Viscount crashed on Indee Station with the loss of 26 on board, I was told that the
crash site is about were the Fortescue
mine site is situated.

We stayed there only a couple of months back.
Its an easy drive off the main road (good to get away from all the road trains); about 8k's from memory, and a short drive sth of Hedland.
Several things to do/see in the area as people have already mentioned which are worth the effort.. Some campers even reckoned there was gold to be found, but funnily they would not say where!!!
The highlight is the 'compulsory' happy hour in the kitchen area with Betty and Colin. It was a good laugh.
Anyway, worth a visit; especially if you are looking for something different.
