Bruce,
I went in there last September with a group towing a mixture of on-road and off-road caravans with 4WDs and had no problems with corrigations. There were some but nothing severe. Problem is if you listen to the locals no one would ever go in there. They had predicted all sorts of doom and gloom. We followed the directions given in the book 'Dirty Weekends in
Central Queensland'. We took about 3 or so hours because we stopped at all the things mentioned in the book as well as having afternoon tea. I found it an interesting trip. If it was wet you would be well advised to not go there.
Regards,
Bill
