D-Max canopies

If you want the best then I would suggest a steel canopy from either SMM or Razorback.

The weigh around 85kg but considering they do not need an internal frame to support roof loads they are on a par with other fibreglass canopies.

They come with interior lighting, roof lining and central locking.

Being steel construction they can easily be repaired by your local panelbeater as I found on on my second day of ownership ;=((

Because they wrap over the edge of the tray lip, there is a perfect seal between canopy and tray.

Mine was supplied and fitted by TJM as part of my initial purchase price of the D-Max and cost me just over $3,300.

I like the look of their new one and some of the features. Price is in the ball park I guess at $4,500ish, just not into ARB products that much. Their products seem to be for people who like raised white lettering on their tires.

The SMM steel canopy at $3,300ish is a lot more value for money and by the look of it, better quality.

Guess I will be heading to the Perth 4WD show this weekend to compare.

I am with Bill on this one and Ihave opted for an ARB Classic Canopy on my new Isuzu LSU. Installed this week. They retail from $3,200 from memory with lift out side windows. I had the Classic canopy on my Colorado and found it excellent, water proof & with a hatch fitted almost dust free. By the way D-Maxer I DON'T like the white writing on my tyres.

Now that does look stupid, and it still doesn't answer my question as to what is wrong with white lettering, if you don't like it just buy black tyres, used to cost more to have RWL once upon a time.

New tyres usually come with enhanced lettering on one side of the tyre.
Many of us don't like the "wank" factor of displaying this form of promotion of the tyres we choose.
We are more subtle and choose to have the tyres reversed, so that the enhanced lettering (whatever colour it may be) is not displayed.

I suppose then by your definition that makes me a wanker because I happen to like the raised white lettering on my tyres and have at times paid extra to have them. Nice to be labeled that by some one who has never met me or knows nothing about me. Also like your use of the "Royal Wee" you use in being subtle about the tyres you choose. I suppose that means all members of this forum reverse their tyres so as not to appear wankish, I think you may have upset more than just me.
