The leaf springs in the back will leave you disappointed in mildly serious stuff.
Seen em in action ... very limiting.

Cheers

Ya know that ad an tele with Stevie Erwin in the 78 Series cab cassis in the rocky creek bed?

A bloke I know helped produce that ad. The 78 was a stocka apart from having one leaf removed on either side. Dose that look mildly serious to you.

I can't see the Fender there somehow.

I've been through some rough country where the Troopy struggled to keep up. A Hilux involved was even worse. All struggles could be put down to their rear suspension.

Yep I had a Troopie with leaf springs all around and never found it wanting at all, Diff lock front and rear, and carried a load better than any coil sprung vehicle, fender included.

hardly surprising, troopies and utes and hiluxes are comercial vehicles and are sprung at the rear accordingly coz that is what the vast majority of buyers want - load carrying capacity. Sure leaves arnt as good as coils for extreme articulation but they are not to bad and even better with a bit of work

Don't know their load capacity but the coil sprung Fender is rated at 1 Tonne. How do they compare ?

He has a ute so it's gotta be good but he didn't say anything about an upgrade only buying again.
