gu patrol sub tank leaking

The sub tank has crack along one of the seams on my gu gas/petrol patrol and is leaking petrol, in being fixed at the moment under warranty. I have being told that it is not the original tank, is there any way of telling eg. nissan stamp somewhere on tank. Certainly looks bigger then 30 litres.

Cheers Dave

Dave,
The standard tank will have a cover plate underneath it with several holes of about 40mm diameter in it.....mongrel of an idea as little stones get caught in between it and the tank. The aftermarket tanks that I know of, all have no guard under them and are just a flat bottom surface.
Good luck

Got no guard on tank and a flat bottom must be aftermarket, bigger tank greater range (It needs it) yippie!! Now I've just got to work out the size.
