What fuel consumption can we expect towing a 1200kg camper trailer with a manual Prado 3.4ltr Petrol?

Greg, My Prado (automatic, V6) returns approximately 12-13 l/100km (21-23 mpg) back and forward to work (empty, 70k return, non stop, main roads, occasioanal air con)using cruise control at about 80 kph.

Towing my caravan (17X 76, full bodied, 1700kg fully loaded) the fuel consumption drops to around 19l/100km (14mpg), cruising at 80-90kph using cruise control. You should be able to do a little better with a manual transmission. I hope this helps. Cheers.

Greg. Itow a camper trailer max 1100 kg with a 97 gxl 3.4auto on a trip to Broome returned a 15.5l/100km,I dont use the cruise control when towing as this became very savage on fuel
