Sure it has a lot of goodies but $42 000 for a 10 year old Cruiser GET REAL!!!!

I would assume that since it has the V8 and all the gear and used to be owned by ARB (is it still or would this be 3rd hand?) it has probably been flogged badly.

Standard ones go for $25k-30k, you want $20k of goodies free? eg $15k for engine conversion, $3k for lockers, etc etc

You would have to look at what a similar diesel 80 series would be worth, factor in a bit more for the accessories and a bit more for the donk.
From memory it costs about 15k to fit the 6.5 to a petrol 80, drive in drive out.
Was it a diesel to start with or petrol? petrols are cheaper to start with.

Nick,
If your mate wanted a ‘well dressed’ cruiser and was prepared to use it then it may be worth it. If he just needs a standard 4x4 then he should maybe buy a standard GXL 80 diesel for a lot less money. I decided to buy a low km 80 ' that had all the ‘fruit’ and have spent bugger all $’s since. My mate bought a real cheap rough Patrol and by the time he fixed it up and bought all his accessories, he spent more than I did anyway. If it is a 'show pony' that has not done any serious work, it is definately worth considering.
