The speed is only 300Mhz as opposed to the current model 400Mhz, therefore slightly slower. It has limited slots and is not bluetooth. It will be notably slower than the HP PDA. Most buyers choose the HP with software like destinator 3 for best results plus a BT GPS. That way you can have the PDA anywhere inthe car and not worry about cables or satellite coverage. You will note that all images show the Mitac stuck up on the dashboard.... illegal in most states now.

There was an issue with these devices propt up in front of people, an issue the Police considered serious enough to give people warnings and tickets for having them blocking the view. Although you and I know the little effect it has on our viewing but the Police apparently consider it an issue in an accident. It is like the antenna U mounts with the bolts sticking out of them, the UHF or CB antennas I'm talking of. These have been an issue for police as well, and have yellow stickered cars for it. That's why GME brought out a new sexy bracket that is flush front on. Check their web site out to see what I mean. They are not illegal per say, however, Main Roads and Police have not always given the same point of view on whats right or wrong but when a copper gives u a sticker, it's as good as illegal. All this was brought to GME's attention, both for the old style antenna brackets and the Garmin StreetPilot.
