What would the intrest be for a 1989 diesel GQ 4.2 with around 150.000 kms including winch and rear locker . Price approx 14k ?

Would there be more intrest in a Auto over manual? or the other way round ?

Options include electric windows , update trim /Air con / power steer

Thanks guys , the more coments the better and I dont mind if you have bad things to say lol . Its all in the name of resurch

G`Day Eric
I am wondering if you are selling or buying?
In any case for your resurch:-
I bought a '92 XL Maverick LWB 4.2 Diesel 5sp manual in January 2004 (= GQ Optioned) had 140,000km all electrics and as standard when purchased. Paid $16500. It belonged to Terry Price the QLD golfer.
When looking (took 4 months) prices were all over the shop. '89 to '97models from $9000 to $25000. Diesels were the most expensive to buy and harder to find. Autos were hard to find buyers for and plentiful. Petrols were better accepted if gas was connected for fuel economy.
The humble GQ or Mav is good value based on condition and what has been added to the standard.
Yours described would seem good value based on the K's and if maintained mechanically. Some may disagree - the posts will see.

Have owned one for two years, spent the better half of 8 months looking for a tidy one, hardest to find in good nick is manual TD42 diesel with low k's and good exterior/interior, no rust etc.

Got mine stock as a rock 2 years ago with bullbar and steps with 139,000 k's on it for $14,900.

These days, I wouldn't like spending more than 12-14 on a GQ as the price is still dropping and there are still alot around.

$18,500..

he had 12 interested parties.
